Online Bill Payment: How to Make Life Easier

Since the onset of digitalization, there’s no denying the fact that life has become much simpler. Unlike the old days when people used to travel to a nearby shop to recharge their mobile phones or used to go to an official government office to pay their electricity bill after waiting for hours, the digital era has completely transformed how we complete such tasks. From a credit card bill payment to your smartphone recharge, everything is just a tap away.

Here are some of the tips on how to make life easier with online bill payments –

Several measures to promote digital payments in the country have encouraged most of the population to adapt:-

Avoid unnecessary hassle

When you opt for online bill payments, you are opting for comfort. Do you want to step out in the harsh weather just to recharge your smartphone? No, right? I still remember when I first made my airtel bill payment online. It just takes all the stress away. Digital payments have ensured that people don’t have to waste their energy, money, or fuel to travel to a nearby shop. You are just one tap away.

Ensure you stick to one platform

Now, many people download several applications on their smartphones to complete various types of transactions online. Here, I’ll share my personal experience. I have used a single application (Bajaj Finserv: UPI, Pay, Loans) for all transactions. It is my go-to app, from my mobile recharge to my yearly property tax. Please note that I’m not promoting any brand here, but trust me, going for a single application saves you a lot of hassle.

Cashback and Rewards

If you are lucky enough, you might get exciting prizes such as coupon codes, cashback, etc., every time you do a transaction online. There’s no benefit nowadays in cash payments for anything. For even making an online electricity bill payment, you might get a good amount of cashback which serves as a profit.

Safe and secure payments

Along with all its pros, there are several cons of online bill payment, such as financial fraud or scams. As I told you, it’s better to use a simple application, and it is very important to avoid clicking on unnecessary links you receive. Also, never share your UPI pin or any other personal card details.

As we all are on the go round the clock, we are not ready to spend time on tasks such as recharges, bill payments, etc. With such tasks being completed efficiently with just a single tap on our smartphone, we all tend to save a lot of time.

Ten years ago, nobody thought that income tax online payment would ever be possible, but hats off to the government, which made such facilities possible. Then, as now we all have adapted to digital technology, there is no looking back due to the feasibility and reliability that comes with it.
