Today’s music scene is so vibrant that everyone can find something they want to listen to. The recent MTV VMAs just proved this point. It seems like the scene has never been this diverse too. Many interesting categories were added, covering many genres and exceptional performances during the event. It was a realistic representation of how today’s music scene looks.
From The Weeknd to Bad Bunny, Post Malone, and Red Hot Chili Peppers, no artist and no genre is favored right now (like it was in the past).
Many of these artists already have scheduled concerts and live gigs, and their event tickets are in high demand. But what’s happening to them, and how does it affect their schedules?
1. The Weeknd Lost his Voice Mid-Song
This is such an unfortunate thing to happen to any artist. During the concert in Los Angeles, The Weeknd’s voice crashed, and he canceled the event.
Professionally, he promised to reschedule after he felt better. He only sang three songs before leaving the stage. Shortly after that, The Weeknd informed the fans he needed to stop.
The new date for the LA event is to be announced.
2. Bad Bunny Performed at Made in America Music Festival
Bad Bunny and Tyler the Creator were the headliners of Jay Z’s festival Made in America. On 4 September, Bad Bunny turned the festival into a beach party, singing his most popular songs, including “Me Porto Bonito” and “Titi Me Pregunto.”
This comes from his controversial kiss during the MTV VMAs 2022. During his live performance, he first kissed a female dancer on the stage. After that, he pulled one of the male dancers kissing him too.
Bad Bunny is known for his fluid sexuality, even though he is in a serious relationship with Gabriella Berlingeri.
3. Bruno Mars Goes on With his Performances
Even though there are not many scheduled concerts, you can still see Bruno Mars live in Boston this month.
His fans hope he will schedule more events and hopefully announce a new album.
A few weeks ago, he sang a Papa Roach cover for the song “The Last Resort.”
4. Red Hot Chili Peppers Recreate the History
With a few live events, RHCP’s fans are sure the band is recreating the 80s history. Even though they are much older now, RHCP members bring recognizable energy to the music stage.
Their recipe for a good party is pretty known to the audience and feels very familiar. They add new spices to it to make the whole thing appealing to the younger people who love their music.
Also, they take care of the fans, suggesting they drink enough water during the shows to avoid dehydration.
5. Eminem Mourns a Friend
The Canadian rapper Pat Stay was stabbed to death recently, and the hip-hop scene was shocked. This unfortunate event came almost a week after he and Snoop Dogg had a historical and pretty extravagant performance during the 2022 MTV VMAs.
At the beginning of August, Eminem released his compilation album named “Curtain Call 2,” which he successfully teased in a music video previously. It also features three new songs, “The King and I” with CeeLo Green, “From the D 2 the LBC” with Snoop Dogg, and “Is This Love (’09)” with 50 Cent.
Also, he and 50 Cent released a visualizer video for their collaboration just a few days ago. Maybe Eminem is teasing a completely new studio album or tour?
6. One Canceled Event Brings a Busy Schedule for Bone Thugs-n-Harmony
One of the events scheduled in September was canceled, but it seems like Bone Thugs-n-Harmony needed that. Now they have time to rest before attending a few next-day festivals.
Also, from the end of September and the whole of October, they have scheduled many concerts around the USA. They will start the tour in Houston, Texas, visiting a few cities, before they go to Los Angeles, Arizona, Nevada, and California during the fall.
This is one of the rare occasions when all Bone Thugs-n-Harmony members gather together after years of solo projects.
7. Post Malone Covers Songs by Panthera and Pearl Jam
Post Malone enjoyed heavy metal music during the “Rock in Rio” festival. It seems he loves this genre, as he’s often seen covering popular metal songs. He also records himself singing (or screaming) loud on his favorite songs.
A few nights ago in Brooklyn, he sang Pantera’s hit “Walk.”
Earlier in Rome, he sang an exceptional cover of Pearl Jam’s “Last Kiss.”
Even though he is known as a rapper and well-known producer, it seems Post Malone enjoys listening to heavy metal bands.
So, this is what your favorite artists are doing every day. Make sure you follow their activities so you don’t miss any rescheduled concert or new event near you.
